Goat meat

Goat meat is an important nutrient source and an excellent source of protein. Obese dogs develop an increased risk for: many types of cancer, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, and hypertension, osteoarthritis and a faster degeneration of affected joints. Goat meat is lower in calories, total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol than traditional meats.  For obese dogs it is important to feed a nutritional product that has lower overall calorie density.

 Goat meat contains high levels of:   Iron, Potassium, Thiamine and is a good source of:  Niacin, Vitamin B12, Riboflavin 

 Goat meat is high in:  Phosphorus, Copper, Selenium, Zinc and CLA - (conjugated linoleic acid) a fatty acid that can prevents and cures cancer and many inflammatory conditions

Considering its high nutritional value and its greater unsaturated to saturated fatty acid ratio, goat meat is an almost perfect protein to give as a treat to obese dogs.
